BIO & CV

Deziree Jordyn is a New Jersey–based interdisciplinary conceptual artist, educator, and founder of Dezire Higher Art & Wellness. Working across collage, drawing, painting, experimental video, and installation, she explores collective memory, identity, interpersonal relationships, ancestry, and emotional wellness.

Her intuitive, research-driven practice examines how personal histories shape the ways we relate to ourselves and one another. Through immersive installations, found photographs, objects, and mixed-media works, Deziree creates reflective “third spaces” that invite viewers to pause, process difficult emotions, and engage in shared vulnerability. She refers to her film-photo-sized drawings as “memories” and her mixed-media paintings and collages as “portals”—works that consider art as a pathway between reflection, connection, and transformation.

Alongside her studio practice, Deziree founded Dezire Higher Art & Wellness, a creative experience studio offering workshops, curriculum, community programs, and experiential art activations. The organization helps children and adults use creativity as a mindful tool for self-expression, emotional growth, connection, and everyday wellbeing.

Deziree holds a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and a certificate in Child Development. Her experience includes developing and facilitating arts programming with Grounds For Sculpture, City Green, and Harlem Children’s Zone, alongside schools, community organizations, and private mentorship programs.
